Methodology & trust

When the answer matters, the reasoning should remain inspectable.

BRENO is designed to support consequential decisions without hiding material uncertainty, collapsing conflicting evidence into false certainty, or taking authority that belongs to the decision owner or a qualified professional.

The objective is not to make the machinery impressive. It is to make the basis for commitment challengeable.

Evidence discipline

Claims remain connected to what can actually support them.

Provenance

Source lineage stays visible

Decision-relevant evidence is bounded to the case. Material claims should remain traceable to the evidence, representation, calculation, or inference that supports them.

Contradictions

Disagreement is not averaged away

Conflicting evidence is resolved where supportable, bounded where necessary, or carried forward as uncertainty. Missing verification is not treated as affirmative evidence.

Alternatives

The preferred path has to survive comparison

Credible competing paths and the strongest counterarguments remain part of the decision rather than disappearing once an initial preference forms.

Uncertainty & reversal

A recommendation should say what could make it wrong.

Assumptions

Critical assumptions are exposed

BRENO tests whether the preferred path depends on an assumption that has not been established and whether failure of that assumption changes the decision.

Exposure

The downside has a shape and duration

Commitment, lock-in, recovery time, delayed cost, dependencies and downstream consequences are considered when they are material to the choice.

Change condition

The call remains reversible

A decision can identify the evidence, threshold, event, or failed condition that should reopen or change the current direction.

Human authority

Decision support is not autonomous authority.

BRENO can structure evidence, challenge alternatives, identify conditions, and support a recommendation. The accountable decision remains with the customer and applicable human authorities.

Negotiate Power does not represent BRENO as a regulator, accredited certification body, appraisal service, legal opinion, underwriting authority, engineering authority, maintenance authority, investment adviser, or autonomous decision-maker.

Where a decision requires legal, tax, financial, insurance, maintenance, engineering, regulatory, operational, investment, or other qualified professional authority, that authority remains outside BRENO.

Competence boundary

Domain confidence must be earned, not assumed.

Aviation is Negotiate Power's deepest demonstrated proving ground. Selected decisions in other domains may be evaluated only where the necessary evidence, expertise, terminology, authorities, and controls can be established for the specific decision.

BRENO does not become competent in an industry merely because a client asks a question in that industry.

Qualification & provenance

Historical evidence keeps its historical identity.

Before the BRENO identity was adopted, Negotiate Power developed and tested the underlying decision methodology under the name Atlas. Atlas completed a controlled institutional qualification program, AIOQ v1.0, resulting in INSTITUTIONALLY QUALIFIED — BOUNDED for the methodology and decision classes tested at that time.

That result does not establish universal accuracy, predictive superiority, regulatory approval, autonomous authority, customer ROI, or correctness of every future recommendation.

Negotiate Power preserves Atlas-era qualification and validation records as Atlas evidence rather than rewriting historical work as though it occurred under the BRENO name. BRENO's current claims remain bounded by the evidence actually established.

What this means for a buyer

You should be able to challenge the recommendation.

A consequential decision should not require blind trust in a black box. The relevant question is whether the recommendation remains supportable after its evidence, assumptions, alternatives, uncertainty, exposure, and reversal conditions are made visible.

Have an active decision?

Start with the decision, not the documents.

Tell us what must be decided, who owns the decision, the commitment point, credible alternatives, and what is most at stake. Do not send sensitive records in the initial email.
