Aircraft acquisition

Before you buy the aircraft, challenge the decision.

Your broker, acquisition adviser, maintenance team, lender and counsel may all be doing exactly what they should. Atlas does not replace them. It independently tests the decision their work supports before commitment.

Do not send sensitive records in the initial email. Start with the aircraft or candidate set, current position, mission, owner, deadline and alternatives.

Why acquisition decisions get hard

The aircraft can look right before the decision is right.

Aircraft selection combines mission fit, utilization, availability, maintenance, operating economics, contract terms, financing, resale, optionality and timing. The professional process may be sound while the final decision still depends on assumptions spread across different specialists.

Mission

Does the candidate fit the actual use?

Range, payload, passenger profile, runway environment, dispatch expectations and utilization are tested against the decision rather than treated as separate facts.

Exposure

What persists after closing?

Maintenance timing, programs, contract lock-in, financing structure, operating dependencies and recovery timing can matter beyond the purchase price.

Alternatives

What would make another path better?

Atlas challenges the selected aircraft against credible alternatives, waiting, leasing, access strategies or another candidate where those are materially relevant.

What Atlas can change

The output is not “good aircraft” or “bad aircraft.”

The question is whether the acquisition decision survives the challenge as currently formed.

CONFIRM

Proceed remains supportable

No additional decision-material issue changes the current direction within the defined evidence boundary.

CONDITION

Proceed only if...

Additional records, inspection, contract protection, verification, price condition or another defined requirement becomes material.

CHANGE

Choose another path

The candidate, timing, confidence or acquisition strategy changes because the original position no longer survives the bounded challenge.

Professional alignment

Keep the acquisition team.

Atlas is not an appraisal, inspection, brokerage service, legal opinion, financing decision or maintenance authority.

It challenges the decision those professional inputs support.

That makes Atlas suitable as an additional independent layer without asking the buyer to replace existing advisers or create unnecessary channel conflict.

Price context

Engagements start at $2,500.

The engagement is priced for the acquisition decision being challenged, not as a percentage of aircraft value and not based on whether Atlas finds a problem.

Scope depends on the number of alternatives, evidence available, depth of diligence, and whether forward-cost analysis is decision-material.

Before LOI, deposit, contract or closing
